Please pray for Alan and Ghalib Kurdi today, two young kurdish children who died as a result of drowning whilst seeking asylum 5 years ago. Alan is formerly known as the child who washed ashore on the Mediterranean Sea, at only 3 years of age.
May Allah heal the pain of their father, Abdullah, who is known to be the only survivor. Please let us not forget how Turkish officials changed Alan’s name in the media to Aylan, a popular Turkish name forcing the children’s auntie to correct it despite such horrific times
Let us also address the fact that Canadian immigration authorities rejected the Asylum application because it was incomplete, and i quote here - “it did not meet regulatory requirements for proof of refugee status recognition". This was because the Kurdish have no passports (1)
Nor did they have Turkish work permits, both of which were something they were physically unable to obtain. It became clear there was absolutely no hope for their family thus making them head for the coastline as a desperate attempt to have a better life
Here is something the father, Abdullah said, about the events that day.
Alan, Ghalib and their mother’s lives live on through each and every one of us. 4 parçe, 1 welat. Please look here to donate to @HeyvasorUK, a charity in which aims to provide medical care and aid for refugees mainly in the Rojava area (where the family was located).
Her bijî Kurdistan ✌🏻❤️💛💚✌🏻
