some unsolicited tips for those applying to ateneo:
1. submit your application early!!! the online form *will* crash near the deadline (as everyone will be trying to submit by then), so submitting early will save you from the stress of application uncertainty!

2. come off as authentic in your essay while paying attention to your grammar!! you don’t have to make it incredibly long (mine was a page or something) nor make your vocab complicated (as that’ll come off as you trying too hard to look smart, when it could backfire)
3. choose teachers who know you incredibly well to write your essay, not necessarily those who taught the subject you’re highest in! ateneo wants to see you beyond your grades; a rec saying “they did well in my class, getting perfects every time” adds nothing beyond that view ++
a teacher who knows you beyond the academic setting can vouch for how much effort you put in activities beyond your subjects and how you are as a human, not a student. ateneo is looking for humans, not robotic students who could produce an A+ subject while being mean to everyone
4. make a simple CV! ateneo will ask for your extracurricular activities and awards, so laying all of those out in a CV would help you look impressive in the eyes of the admissions officers as they can easily parse it and see what you’ve done!
there’s bound to be more tips that’ll i think off, so i’ll just add to this thread if i think of more HAHAHAH (or maybe current ateneans / alumni could add their own tips)
good luck, future ateneans!!
