WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T DO IT FOR THE NUMBERS?
(Gospel First Numbers Next)

A lot of times I see gospel artists reach a particular milestone and when they post it on social media it's usually followed by "I don't do it for the numbers" what does that even mean?
MATTHEW 5:16
Let your light so shine before MEN that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Notice Jesus used the plural "MEN" and not "MAN" because your light isn't for one individual but for the whole world
Let me ask a question. When you started putting out content was it just for you and your intimate circle of friends to enjoy or for the whole world to see? If your answer is just for you and your friends THEN you can say you don't do it for the numbers...
But if it your goal is for it to reach the ends of the earth then you can't say that. I mean think about it, if you don't do it for the numbers then why spend so much money on advertising? Why bother posting the milestone at all? I mean if you had 500k followers on social media..
And dropped content and it only amounted to 10 views/streams it would become a fight of faith.
The spread of the GOSPEL is the goal for sure no doubt, but however the NUMBERS come next...
Saying that you don't do it for numbers doesn't make you humble my G, you're just downplaying the level that God has brought you to which isn't right.
As a creative, "Numbers" are one of the only means to track your growth and the impact of your work.

There's a whole book in the bible with the name numbers, that's how important numbers are lol
MATTHEW 14:13-21

When Jesus fed people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, to us that weren't there it would seem ordinary if the number "5000" wasn't added, it was added so you would know the gravity of the miracle
Don't down play the role of numbers in your ministry, it doesn't make you humble!
