From the first war of independence (1919) to the drafting of the constitution (1947-) women contributed immensely to the freedom struggle all while fighting extremely oppressive antiquated social norms.
Therefore when you hear “women are excluded from history because men wrote it” instead of reading it with prejudice try and understand its relevance.
