It& #39;s misleading to say 32% of people support Welsh independence because this figure is calculated by excluded don& #39;t knows etc. The latest poll has 25% saying they would vote for independence. Nonetheless, only 52% said they would vote against it. 1/3
The polls& #39; suggestion that only just over 1/2 are opposed to independence is remarkable. Amongst those under 50 the figure is less than 1/2. Something is changing but at the moment it seems to be that opposition to indy is falling more than active support for it surging. 2/3
The don& #39;t knows could go either way. But you don& #39;t win them over by saying Britishness isn& #39;t real, people born in England don& #39;t belong here, or English versions of placenames will be removed. The economic argument is key. 3/3
