This hardcore + 2010 deathcore movement is đŸ”„
Listen to how good Jess Nyx sounds over acacia backdrop
Serration sounds like so many random MySpace / blogspot poor production heavy ass chaotic melodies deathcore bands from 2010 with just enough 2020 polish
Here’s one
đŸ˜‚đŸ„‚
Another 06-‘10er
the atreyu influence in a lot of these 2010 deathcore is understated
Back to current hardcore / deathcore crossover

They still have to mature their sound. Influences are clear
Compare to:
Back to modern hardcore:

Uploaded by “xBrutalYouth666x” straight out of the MySpace era
Knocked loose made leaps for the crossover
^ super creative video

Initially reminds me of “deathcore band in room”

2008 suicide silence video. White background similar dichotomy of white vs darkness / purity vs filthy/chaos
Listen to this serration song after bludgeoned to death

The chaos guitars 2nd half bludgeoned vs here

Fucking LOVE that slam snare
Varials leans on the metal side, the blend is clear
Hardcore heavy side :

The vocals have this straight up deathcore highs influence that I fucking love
Perhaps it started with culture killer in 2015

Hunter Young deserves a lot of credit, an unsung hero of sorts

Here’s his 2010 deathcore band “Silence” from Florida
Silence was like lil peep before peep blew up. Everyone knew they were going to blow up

Hunter wrote and played for like three bands “playing for keeps” one of them. You can hear a lil of the hardcore influence taking over halfway thru this song
Check out the beheading the traitor link from 2011 and description he gives. Back when beheading the traitor had less than 10k subs and was mainly a blogspot
Silence: Kings of the southeast metal scene. Everyone knew they were going to blow up and then.. they just didn’t

“Dead presidents” flopped. Perhaps the melodic / experi elements on the album. I remember being disappointed at lack of heaviness in 2012
This is when deathcore’s innovation withered and died

Infinite clones - djent takeover - BMTH began their transition to radio rock - suicide silence to predom death metal

Hunter and Dylan went to form culture killer. Album drop 2015
Founded in 2013 “hardcore punk and death metal”

Comments: “Whitechapel sent me here”
Influences and bio

Personal fav:
Note the slam influences
Silence was my fav band in 2011 and I just found culture killer last year. What’s crazy is they signed with metal blade in 2013 before releasing an album

I have feeling behind the scenes of the scene there was a lot of influence going on

Knocked loose dropped pop culture 2014
Knocked loose next to Black Tongue on Spotify’s “heavy beatdown” playlist
xTexasChainsawx

I don’t like this song but what they’re going for is the full embodiment of this thread
