How to make people independent

»A THREAD«
This is a story about a 7 year
boy who lost his everything
because of a flood
There was no support provided
to anyone to the affected people

He lost all of his family members
in the flood
He was starving for food from 3 days

He started to move ahead and as he passed he met a man who was cooking fish for the lunch
The kid explained the man about his past and the man gave him some rice and fish to eat
The man was not that rich and he struggled to meet both the ends to complete the needs of his family
After having a meal they talked
about each other's situation for
some time and then the man
left for his home
The kid left the place and spent the night under a tree as he used to do before
The next day kid again went to the same place expecting that he would get some food but he found no one there
Again he had to starve for food and there was no one to support him as it was a rural area with very less people with limited resources
This time he was really very hungry
and he wildly started searching for
food
As he moved ahead he saw a teen guy making fish that he caught from a sea which was 5 km away
The kid and teen both were affected by flood and they exchanged their experiences and what problems they faced
The teen gave him some part of cooked food and asked what do you do to eat and survive ?
The kid said he has nothing to do and no one is ready to keep him or adopt him
The teen guy said why don't you start fishing!

I daily go for fishing at 5 am to the sea and by 8 am I return with good fishes and I sell them through out the day and I save the money I earn + I eat the fish that are unsold by cooking them
The kid started to learn fishing and slowly he began to earn good to complete his daily needs
They both lived in a small tent made of leaves and bamboos to cover their heads
Imagine if the teen did not meet the kid there was a higher probability that the kid would die bcz of starvation
The moral of the story is

Feed a hungry man first then teach him how he can feed himself everyday
Not only fishing but you will see this thing in many sectors of your life as well
Next time if anyone asks you for any help, help them and also teach them how it is done so they won't be dependent on you for the task
