Time to address the elephant in the room.
I don& #39;t talk much about politics because I have realized, this year and the last, how sheltered and privileged I am and how little I actually know. Any hot takes from me on *most* serious issues are pretty much worthless.

This doesn& #39;t mean I can& #39;t do anything... but most things I can accomplish on social media, on this particular website at this point in time would just be a salve for my ego. So as far as this website is concerned, given my small account size anyway, I& #39;d rather not.
Things are dire right now, though. I mostly post about relatively happier things, and it feels like Nero fiddling while Rome burns at times. But I do think everything can get a little... much... And I don& #39;t think it& #39;s wrong to try to stay upbeat?
I hope not, at least.
I hope not, at least.
Worth noting that there are some exceptions that I do think I& #39;m relatively qualified to talk about. Trans issues I& #39;ve got some lived experience in. But I& #39;m still a baby there, other people know a lot, lot more.
Anyway, an important distinction I want to make absolutely, 100% clear: just because I& #39;m not talking about the important events happening right now doesn& #39;t mean they& #39;re not happening, and that they don& #39;t matter. It just means I& #39;m a small account aware of my ignorance. That& #39;s it.
