Babcock University will be resuming virtually in 4 days time. For about 6 months public schools have been shut cos of COVID-19 & ASUU with students in limbo, whiling away valuable time.

Remember this whenever you wonder why people willingly choose to pay those 'exorbitant' fees.
Kelvin made a brilliant thread about something related to this, it's not just about the education like lectures, notes, exams & a degree...no it's so much more.

It's the connections, it's the environment, it's the student welfare oriented system, it's the power of the name.
One guy made a viral tweet about how he became a solicitor to one wealthy Indian he met on a flight from Geneva or so to London.

The Indian saw his Cambridge cardigan, asked him what year he finished, turns out the Indian was an Alumni & voilà!

This is why people choose to pay.
Lemme not digress, now while public school students are at home fighting over BBN, these Babcock students will resume, learn, write exams & finish their higher education when due with the same quality cos OF THEIR SCHOOL.

This is why people choose to pay.
Life is topsy turvy & this is no guarantee that they'll make it ahead of others but it's a huge advantage. Think of it like a 2 goal advantage, they may fumble it later but at least they've been given a headstart.

Tweet "2:1 in Unilag is better than first class in Babcock" all
you want, romanticize the hardship all you like, it don't change the fact that public education is frustrating & its system don't really care about students.

So yeah everyone is at home, but some will school from home & graduate on schedule.

This is why people choose to pay!
