The Indian Church:

>India’s 500-year-old Catholic Church has five times the number of priests compared to any other country. In fact, India is among the leading exporters of priests.
>The Indian Church pretty much acts like a state within a state in the Indian Union. It owes its allegiance to the Pope in Rome, as India allows for Canon law, which confers powers on the Pope over church properties in India.
