Spooky movie thread 2020. This year I'm starting in September. No rules, I just like my Halloween threads. I present you with the dance of my people.
I forgot to finish the Creepshow series last year apparently, so episode 5 of that it is!
Night of the Paw/Times is Tough in Musky Holler.

The first 4 eps were good? The one with the djinn and the one with the lady and body in the elevator are the only 2 I remembered though.
Second was better. Now ep 6, Skincrawlers/By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain.
Oh yay fatsuit. Though in this case, I suspect it's needed because there will be a sudden change, which is a thing I've thought about before. Because I can already tell this is set up to skewer diet bs. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Mmm no. Wasn't that deep. Boo. Very boo and also makes no sense even in it's own universe. I did like the Champy one. Cute.
Mausoleum (1983) I hadn't seen this before. It's not good exactly, but it's very 1983, has some neat gore/makeup things I don't recall seeing before, boobs, demon face, and this 70s/80s B movie/TV dude.
Fade to Black (1980). Thank you digitalization and streaming for all these old bad horror movies that as far as I could find were never on vhs or had torrents back on the day. I once reached a point where I couldn't find 1 1980s horror movie in hadn't seen.
But now, especially Shudder and Amazon have a bunch of them. Plus all the horror movies from other countries. I'm trying to be positive today. This is a thing about 2020 I enjoy.
Haha, nice, other Yablans movie posters in the background. This invoices movie themed murders. Also a guy who snaps because he's rejected by a woman, which I been every writer to stop doing now please. It's way too common.
Wtf, Mickey Rourke is in this!? Also I just figured out why I know the lead, the TV It miniseries. Eddie.
This uses insert shots of movies to show the lead's thoughts or emotions in a way that seems a bit more modern than 1980.
This is a buffet of Hey It's That Guys/Gals
I was entertained.
Trick r' Treat (2007) a frequent rewatch, and in fact one I've watched every Halloween since it came out. I always recommend it. For me, it's instaspooky mood. I'll fall asleep to this and finish tomorrow night.
And I did. Also watched Fear Dot Com which was awful but not in a fun way. Cannot recommend.
Well I almost immediately abandoned this thread. And talked about movies I've watched elsewhere. No rules, anarchy!
Starfish is more like horror tinged sci-fi, and I'm glad it exists, even if I think I'm a bit behind the ideal age group for it now. Thrilled it's about grief and about how deep best friendships can be.
