A lot of times when Japanese comics localize other countries' comics, I'm sort of indifferent to it but find it really annoying when they sort of do it half baked?
I feel they should just go all or nothing, even tho it's really disorienting to see everyone with Japanese names when there are cultural markers that clearly indicate it's a Chinese or Korean comic. 
For example, there's a Japanese translated Korean comic that for some reason has one of the main characters with a Korean name.
But everyone else has Japanese names and clearly we're supposed to pretend it takes place in Japan and I'm just wyd?

We're supposed to imagine this entire story takes place in Japan. *dead pan stare*
I dunno, there's a conversation to be had about making a translated work local or keeping it close to the original and the disadvantages/advantages of either way.

But I feel that...in comics at least...maybe keep it the way it was in the original since the drawings themselves are already doing the heavy lifting if they are set in a specific city?
Or if it's going to be hard to pretend that the domestication will ring true?
(Granted, I can be a picky audience member because I can pick up on small details pretty well and I *will* notice something off).
