Congress goes into recess voluntarily indefinitely. Cotton militarizes every major city to “restore law & order”. People are assigned color threats for their digital content & detained, given badges so their lawyers can ID their cases.

The threats are illegals, terrorists, antifascists, rioters, looters. The reality is foreigners, activists, poor/disabled, BIPOC, students, dissidents. Cotton learned from the Nazis not to label victims honestly. Within 2 years, 25% of America is dead, in custody, escaped.

Within 4years, a second election has confirmed Cotton prez with 87% of the vote. Only 10% of the population is able to vote. 3 SCOTUS justices have died & are not replaced. 35% of the workforce is out of work, 45% have lost permanent housing.

In 6yrs the world unites against the US, inclg Israel which has put aside Netanyahu & freed Palestine to create the bicooperative Palisrael State w/restorative justice tribunals underway across the country & leaders of both congresses agreeing to mutual protection/nonaggression.

China & Russia experience a fairly nonviolent political renaissance in the face of the growing American threat & both countries quickly reform their leadership & policies efficiently & fairly. Huawei becomes the most successful company in the world surpassing all US tech.

A diligent underground forms in the US cooperating with allies in Europe, Russia, China, New Zealand, Cuba, Canada, Mexico, Palisrael, Pakistan, India, and others. National govts give way to social mobilization in the global war effort. Direct popular action replaces warfare.

In year 8, cotton destroys NYC with a small nuclear weapon under the guise of a foreign attack but is quickly exposed and assasinated by his staff. Kirchner is appointed president by the Cabinet & elections are suspended indefinitely. Local elections are crushed by federal threat

In year 9 the legislature and SCOTUS is burnt to the ground, the latter with SCOTUS inside. The UN reforms in Hong Kong which agrees to be designated special host city with sovereign jurisdiction under China’s exclusive protection. The US is not invited.

In the same year Kirchner is assasinated and Trump is named president despite his extreme decline. The cabinet consists of barons from Wall Street, pharma, oil, real estate, human trafficking, mass media, social media & conduct most business.

In year 10- 2030- the earth is on fire though the harsh sanctions against the US globally and reforms elsewhere partially address pollution enough that water scarcity remains 5yrs away. The undergrounds mobilize.

In a single day over 70 countries experience extremely well coordinated mass uprisings that halt all production & consumption & result in over 15,000 assasinations by mobs of citizens or bombs. The entire US cabinet is killed in one attack. There is a plan.

The underground’s of every nation secretly elect a designated survivor to reform their governments and release 2nd wave target lists. World leaders are given 24 hours to unconditionally surrender to the designated survivor who has custody of the proposed Constitution.

Over 40 countries capitulate & their designated survivors set the universal date for a constitutional referendum on the nation’s new proposed constitution. Underground participation rate is estimated as high as 45% worldwide. A second wave of attacks kill over 45,000 worldwide.

Another 20 or so countries capitulate after the second wave of attacks leaving only Saudi Arabia, the US, Venezuela, India, and North Korea refusing to comply. They are given 24 hours and the list of targets for a third wave, this time being facilities of business, govt, war, etc

None of the countries comply & 72 hours passes. On the 72nd hr, over 100,000 buildings worldwide are demolished, none of which were listed by the underground. 10 hours later, while govts scramble to respond, all targets on the original list are successfully destroyed.

Trump has a heart attack and dies during the third attack and all countries but the US comply after the 4th attack. A unanimous vote (except the US) is taken to have a worldwide referendum on a Global Constitution of Rights & Governance. DC is completely deserted.

The US underground announces all worldwide underground resources have been dedicated to the US cause. It is announced nuclear weapons have been moved into 20 cities & mandatory evacuation is in effect. Safety zones & cities are already stocked for relocation. 96hr clock.

The police and military abandon all 20 cities within 2hrs and the underground mobilizes over 250,000 volunteers nationwide to evacuate. DC is set to be demolished. Door to door evacuation continues 24/7 for 4 days.

The cabinet attempts to actuate the nuclear option but with Trump dead military leadership decides to disable and destroy all launch capability. Over 2,000 soldiers are executed by their fellow soldiers in the struggle to prevent launch. There is no resolution by 96hrs.

The underground announces it will give the military an additional 24 hours to take control and satisfactorily surrender to the US designated survivor, Nina Turner, who has been hidden in Canada for her safety.

The military successfully rebels internally disabling almost all military bases within the country and abroad except 5. 24 hours pass and the 5 hold out bases explode in tiny mushroom clouds. No US cities are harmed but the underground announces people must not return yet.

By the end of the week, with the help of UN globalized forces, all remaining fascist US forces are put down. Many flock to the abandoned 20 cities to loot and are dealt with with only 100 direct civilian casualties from populations of millions.

Doctors Without Borders, in league with the underground, attend to the mass camps of evacuees and food supplies from around the world arrive at the ports to supply internal refugees. Teamsters protect the civilian supply chains.

All but one member of the cabinet is killed by the US military who presents her to Nina Turner as proof of surrender to the designated survivor. Nina immediately turns her over to the ICC & votes to join world referendum day. Worldwide military forces are unified & stood down.

The global referendum is made universal to all ages and demographics without regard for anything but citizenship. Any citizen can vote and any person may change citizenship to any other country though a 365 moratorium is placed on global migration.

World peace follows. Countries reform mostly along the same borders. The final death count after Shark Week is 5 million inclg natural deaths triggered by stress. No cities are destroyed except the 5 military targets nuked, no civilians are abandoned by the underground.
