Ok. My turn. I have a new friend and her name is @Hanna Drake. We met today for the first time when we walked and talked around downtown Louisville. She shared her history, her story, her outlook and a few dreams of “what if” with me.

Her thoughts were so deep and penetrating that I almost felt numb when I left to get into my car. I asked Hanna several times, “What can I do?” She only responded with, “Help to change the narrative about justice”.

She taught me that there is a “holistic” justice occurring downtown focused on systemic racism and changes needed. There is also a “specific” justice occurring with regard to the death of Breonna Taylor.

Both are real, raw and important to the goal of healing this city and both were not fully understood by me until I met my friend Hanna. I will work on my new narrative. And I encourage everyone to find their Hanna. Opening your mind, opens your heart and opens the door to change.
