RoJo truthers, don’t fret too much. You had a bad night with the Bucs’ decision to sign LF, but there is a path for RoJo to return that 5th/6th round value.
LF unlikely to have a big role W1 given the timing of the signing, so RoJo will likely start vs. NO and carry the load. 1/

It’s a tough matchup, but let’s say RoJo produces. W2 brings Carolina, who yielded 2,296 yards and 31 touchdowns last year. RoJo, still starting, has a huge game. 2/
Will Arians pull the plug on RoJo in order to feed LF, who hasn’t been an overly impressive runner in his career?
I don’t know. Maybe.
Maybe TB gave LF backup money ($2.0 M base + incentives, Hyde signed for $2.75 M) because they are all-in to win a Super Bowl this year. 3/

It’s hard to believe, but LF was actually *worse* in pass pro last year, per PFF, so if RoJo’s trainer is being honest about how hard he worked in that aspect of the game, maybe he has an advantage there too.
The advanced stats are in RoJo’s favor too. 4/

LF is going to go way earlier than I’d take him given the uncertainty of this situation. Unless they come out and declare him the starter, I assume he’s going to have to outplay RoJo for early down snaps. I have them both ranked as low-end RB3/high-end RB4s right now. 5/
So all is not lost, RoJo truthers. Are all those shares you’ve collected worth lot less now than they used to? Yes, your rosters are going to look bad for a while, but maybe, just maybe, he holds off LF and remains Tampa Bay’s starter. 6/6
