Last year I was home in Perth and went to the bday party of a friend, whose friends I barely know, and at one point in the evening people started getting instruments out and telling guests to come into the living room. I was like, oh no a singalong! Corny but delightful!
We all crowded into the room and I was sitting closest to the keyboard and ppl on microphones, almost facing the rest of the room. the musicians started playing and we all started singing. Me being who I am as a person, I decided to dance in my seat and loudly belt out harmonies.
After singing along to a few tracks inc an enthusiastic rendition of Shallow by Lady Gaga, the room dispersed and I wandered into the kitchen to overhear other guests saying how amazing the band was and how special their debut performance was before looking up at me and guffawing
So anyway, picture me - some stranger who’s a decade older than everyone else at the party - loudly singing the lower harmony at the front of the room while an actual band does a special show 😂😂

Anyway, I shortly left the party haha
