he saw all the backlash he got from not using his platform for blm and instead of apologising and speaking up he just said that he stands by what he said and thinks it was fantastic... i really wish i could apologise on behalf of his ignorance right now... (1/?)
he needs to realise that he has fans, people who idolise him, parents who take their children to his concerts, a platform that spreads to every side of every social media. all of these people that see what he says are from all different cultures, backgrounds and families (2/?)
i’ve been to a tøp concert and experienced the crowd myself, i have never cried so hard. there are so many young people who are having a hard time and are following what he says as a way to hold on. he needs to be showing them the right way out of their problems. (3/?)

he just keeps talking about how life is hard as if it’s a cry for help, he then continues to support his ignorance as if him being depressed makes it ok ??? this grown ass man who has a wife and a child and so many fans everywhere is acting up as if he’s a teenager (5/?)
it’s almost worrying that he dosent see the issue... he acknowledges in his tweet that people want him to apologise and says that he won’t and that he stands by what he said... so many people idolise this man, i can’t even begin to explain how many people i’ve met who do. (6/?)
he KNOWS what he has done wrong and he chooses to ignore it, i feel sick to know that he was like my whole life for YEARS. he saved my life too many times to count and i am forever greatful to him for that but i can’t stand for this. i will not support a racist. (7/?)

in conclusion, black lives matter. anyone who thinks they don’t (tyler fucking joseph) is a joke and shouldn’t be allowed to own a social media, raise a child and have a platform. mental health should be talked about more but not only when it’s an easy escape from owning up (9/?
i wrote this thread because i was angry as fuck and i wanted to read back on it in the future. i’m embarrassed to have stanned him and anyone who plays this down as a “non-issue” is just as bad as he is.
