not gonna lie, self-promoting and saying shit like "...anyways i'm an artist who's not a pedophile/racist/whatever" in the replies of some creep who recently got outed comes across as really gross to me. shouldn't the focus be on the victims? why the hell do you deserve a trophy
it's fine in some circumstances but in more serious ones it seems really tone-deaf and self-congratulatory and nobody really says anything about it. the spotlight shouldn't be on you just because you don't want to fuck minors or whatever, it should be on the people affected
like obviously if you're a person of color doing this in the replies of a racist or an actual victim doing it in the replies of a predator or something that's perfectly fine, but other times it's kinda fucking weird
