!! in no way am i defending tyler i’m trying to work through my thoughts here, he messed up and should be held accountable !!

i feel like, at some point, we all start asking questions about what we’re doing. if it’s right or if we do have some sort of positive impact on
this weird world we live in. and i feel like tyler was right in speaking up about mental health, vocally instead of just through his music. the way he went about it? no. the controversy beginning the thread made it difficult to really understand what he was saying
what he meant.. where were the malicious tones that started the whole thing? i feel like people when they are passionate about something arent always right in the way they talk about it. not to excuse this with passion but, it was obviously something he wanted to be heard.
and the joke was incredibly insensitive but it did what he wanted. it ultimately “succeeded”. and i don’t think his intentions were to cause worry, but to show that no matter what level of life we are on, age, wealth, etc. we all have points where we start asking what’s the
point? but it’s about redirecting that confusion. to me tyler knew what this was going to do. as a black girl i would absolutely love tyler to speak on blm more and josh to speak on blm more. but this happened with pride too. he acknowledged pride and then it was hurtful
to some too. i don’t know.. i’m walking myself through it, and you’re welcome to join me but idk im trying to figure it out
and it’s wrong to speculate about someone’s mental health but i cant help but worry. so much has happened recently to him maybe this one subject, something he could fully understand, something he knows he deals with, set him off. set off some sort of fire where he felt like
“fuck i want to and got to be listened to NOW because i know exactly what this is like and i feel it and i know it.” if that makes sense? it’s hard waters to tread. but one thing i do know is tyler was right when he said you don’t know what people are going through.
you don’t understand sometimes. and when tyler said it’s a heavy thing to carry i feel like i was the only one who didn’t go back to the love wins tweet. i thought well maybe, he was talking abt sometimes the backlash that comes with it an how that can be
deteriorating to mental health. that added onto his mental health is really hard. which is normal. these topics need talked about and i wish tyler would’ve weighed the options of getting hit big time once, with getting hit to a small minimum multiple times.
