also imagine being touted as one of the faces of a huge franchise, receiving racist abuse from the outset with no support or protection and then being repeatedly sidelined throughout said franchise solely because of your race. it would drive anyone insane.

using black people for clout and then not shielding them from the extreme racist abuse they get is a mark of pure evil in hollywood. it happened with candice patton, it happened with anna diop and it happened with john boyega.

if candice patton was to ever detail her experiences and name names she would actually end several careers. her own non black co stars have only started showing up for her *this* year. the flash is going into its 7th season.

also!!!! I just remembered that she didn’t get to wear her natural hair until like szn 6??? and even then it was only for one ep??? I know this is common knowledge for some but it still makes me sick with rage how badly that woman has been treated
