So, since some people felt the need to explain their discomfort in a triggering way, we'll describe ours with medicalized views of plurality/mulitplicity.
Tw; medical trauma, surgery
You go to the doctors, complaining about the fact you are having issues with feeling depressed. Now, imagine your doctor for years tells you 'actually the surgery you went through years ago can cause that' but that's not all
they also say 'actually you were kind of lucky, I had to stop seeing another patient because of X'. Now, this isn't you as an adult, this is you as a young teenager, just barely past being a pre-teen. And that surgery was one you nor the former patient can-
Tw; flashback mention
remember. Now imagine over the years you try to cope with it, but suddenly other memories start coming back. Flashbacks which make you non-verbal when they occur. You look for a support group, and you come across one. You don't really talk, but
you notice that the language they use triggers you, the model they use triggers you. You quietly stop attending, and you find another one. It is willing to let you use your own model and methods for processing, and your own vocabulary. But, people form the first group show up,-
and start yelling at you and the others, telling you that 'this space hurts them!' just by existing, and 'you have to use this model, yours is wrong!'. You try to tell them that whenever you do use it, your symptoms get worse, but under your current one you are making steady
progress. They insist you are wrong and start calling you harmful, that how you view it mocks them, and other hurtful things. You can't defend yourself, because doing so would force you to reveal memories that literally make you non-verbal. You try to calmly explain to them why
both can exist. They take to the streets and start screaming about how your support group is hurting theirs. How your view is illogical and you need to see the exact people who caused you to need one in the first place.

...We don't get the privilege of imagining that, that is-
our story. Our trauma is due to doctors, since before we were a week old operating on us to save our lives. When we were around the age of 12-14(we were at our worst point between 10-14), we talked to our doctor about depression...he told us to our face the surgeries that saved
tw; drugs
us is the cause of it. And that it was actually to be expected to occur sooner or later. Within that same conversation, they told us how one of their patients had turned to drugs to try and numb the emotional pain. They had stopped seeing them...this is a cardiologist,-
we are patients who depend on doctors to keep living, and to hear another patient was thrown to the way side because they couldn't cope with what a doctor had done to them shattered our blind-faith in doctors. This was before we discovered each other mind you, but when we did, we
tw; fake claiming
knew right away it was medical trauma. We tried looking at spaces, we found one we were comfortable in. We tried venturing out to interact with other systems, we were barraged by people fake-claiming stuff we experienced. We had to see posts -
tw; death wish
wishing death upon systems like us simply because we didn't hold the same view as them. This caused us to deny our trauma origins. We disappeared for a couple years, not even on social media in the slightest. Then...we found pluralgang and started to open back up,-
tw; cult, mentions of abuse, fake-claiming
accept our trauma origins again but then people came into the hashtag, call us hurtful for existing, a cult, abusive towards survivors, calling us delusional. We tried to calmly explain why they didn't need to attack us, they didn't-
listen, they kept at it. Which culminated in a comic slandering the pluralgang and the disgusting comparison between rape and rape kinks to system types. Then, we saw one of THE BIGGEST systems in the community talk about how it made no sense why people were calling things 'too-
medical' or the like. We've had to see people go after us, even sources we use for therapy because it doesn't meet their purity test. We are tired of all of this, we know this won't do anything, but I want y'all to realize your side is hurting people who've been hurt by the-
people y'all look up to, even if it isn't a psychiatrist. We are rightful to be wary. So stop acting like us going 'don't use this for us' or 'we don't use this model' is being ableist, or us making fun of you. We're trying to heal too, just now how *you* want it.
