Nearly our entire forecast area is under an Excessive Heat Warning Friday - #LaborDay.
Esmeralda, S. Nye + the Clark Co. mountains (Spring/Sheep) are under Heat Advisories due to slightly cooler temps/elevation, but WILL ALSO be unseasonably hot.

Sure, we've seen temps 110F+ in #LasVegas this summer. 16, actually. But in September??
@NWSWestern has a product called HeatRisk. Through #LaborDay weekend, the region is HIGH-VERY HIGH risk due to the long duration & unseasonable temperatures.

What does HIGH HeatRisk mean?
(1) Check on friends, neighbors, family who may be members of sensitive populations such as the sick or elderly.
(2) Never leave kids/pets in a car unattended.
(3) Limit outdoor activity to cooler parts of the day.
(4) HYDRATE!

Lower elevations will be hotter than the mountains, as @NWSPhoenix highlights. That said, if you're hoping to escape to the Clark Co. mountains for some relief, remember that they have a Heat Advisory of their own, so still take heat precautions!!
