A group called @SaferVancouver has been calling for an audit of DTES service providers. There are no members listed on their website or twitter account. However, we've confirmed that Nadia Ladisernia, Principal of Luxury Alliance Group, created the group's website.
Ladisernia told us she created the site as a "volunteer." When asked if she is a member of the group she responded, "No, I just created the website."

Ladisernia and Craig Stowe are best known for running the "supercar" event advertised in this video. https://vimeo.com/367135128
Lawyer Dallas Brodie is the only self-identified member of @SaferVancouver we could find. Brodie has also been a member of the Shaughnessy Heights Property Owners' Association and is the daughter of Robert Gordon Brodie, a Canadian oil executive and real estate investor.
Brodie shares her views on poverty and addiction in this recent podcast appearance. The show describes @SaferVancouver as "taking a stand on the proliferation of people from the downtown east side into the southern end of downtown Vancouver." https://www.buzzsprout.com/1020934/5017547-dallas-brodie-a-safer-vancouver
The group's call for an audit of the DTES comes on the heels of a similar audit of a Lethbridge-based consumption site. The SCS--which was the busiest in all of North America--was recently closed, which means people will die. https://crackdownpod.com/podcast/episode-19-losing-hope/
If groups like @SaferVancouver are going to be given a prominent voice in Vancouver, people deserve to know who is behind this group. We will update this thread when/if we confirm more details.

Shout out to @alexmdeboer and @Samadeus for chasing this story down for us today.
Nadia Ladisernia is a frequent poster on the Downtown Community Safety Watch facebook page. In this post, she argues with other group members who express sympathy for a particularly young drug user.
Nadia also appeared on the Lynda Steele show where she complained about the "influx of the walking zombies around our residential neighbourhood. Our mental health is also being affected." https://omny.fm/shows/steele-drex/another-vancouver-resident-getting-tired-of-hell-i/embed?source=twitter&size=square&style=cover&fbclid=IwAR2W1641gRkT42pmpul-mCMotV8m_FYLz2Km1EJ5BLiNzIo_Rb8zlsUW_lU
Many of the members of the Downtown Community Safety Watch page post pictures of homeless people, poor people, and people who use drugs. They have insisted this is not to "shame" people. But one of Nadia's pictures was considered controversial, even among the group.
Looks like that might be it for the night. Thanks for reading our thread!
