I’m just gonna say I disagree with almost everything put forward in the interview by our nation’s highest official in charge of ensuring justice. I don’t feel persecuted or insufficiently respected or ‘obeyed’ as a cop. God, Not even close. We work for our neighbors & if you don’t embrace that truth, then please don’t be a cop. Cuz our neighbors are not just the point of our job, they’re the only way we can do this job.

I don’t want my neighbors’ respect. I want their individual success & happiness & fulfillment to build our collective resilience. They have a billion reasons not to like or trust me. The burden is upon me to meet my neighbors where they are, not where I am or I want them to be.
