I've been reflecting on how money-privileged people are willing to throw money at causes than they are energy or time, when energy and time can have more meaningful impact and *transfer systemic power* in ways money cannot.

I see this a lot with @SelfDefinedApp.

Reading it would do far more VCs/CEOs/etc good and good for the people they hoard power over.

Even better, putting themselves out there to see how difficult it is to share an individual experience and be expected to speak on behalf of a group.

2/
We are willing to give up power on axes that result in very little personal sacrifice of power. Giving away 100 dollars when you have 1M doesn't amount to relinquishing much power.

In my mind, *shifting power* is what needs to happen. Money can help, but is not the only way. ◼️
Said another way, @SelfDefinedApp and I would benefit far more from people's labour in reading/writing than we would from their money. *And* money helps us to fund eventually paying people for the labour.

But we have to be mindful of not setting up the same power dynamics.
