It must actually be so fucking exhausting being black and daring to voice your opinion speak up for yourself in any capacity/ exist. Witnessing black friends get torn down constantly, ALL FUCKING DAY, every fucking day. I am in awe of your strength and resilience.
Being back on twitter for a few weeks all I have seen is racism and vitriol spewed at black women for fucking EXISTING. Racist cunts seem to constantly attack and provoke,then label black women as “angry”.
Not comparing bullying to racism but an example of how fucking deluded these people are; they preach ethics and that social media / trolls / the press were to blame for the death of Caroline Flack.. yet they do not extend the same courtesy to black women
In the last two weeks I have seen some of the most disgusting, inhumane, BEASTLY, words directed to black women for talking about their own options on their own pages. It’s relentless, targeted harassment.
I’m not going to tag women in to this thread to show “examples” or use their trauma to demonstrate my point. But as someone who is and has always been vehemently ANTI RACIST, I have only just become aware of how constant this abuse is
Can you even imagine being harassed every hour of the day by faceless trolls, and others who don’t even care enough or have any shame to hide their identities. Goaded and baited by these pigs, so that they can then fallback on the “angry black woman” trope.
