Action 1D - a social media based humanitarian project, in association with Action 2015, designed to raise awareness about current world issues. Fans uploaded videos of themselves to One Direction's official website, addressing the world issues they would like resolved.
The lads also uploaded videos of themselves discussing what social issues they want to draw attention to. Louis spoke about sick children receving adequate medical care. Liam and Niall spoke about world poverty. Harry spoke about the children receiving adequate education.

Believe In Magic - a charity that helps create special memories for terminally ill children. Louis often partners with the charity to hold events for sick kids. The lads have been ambassadors since 2011. In August 2015, Louis paid for a Cinderella dinner + charity ball, where
terminally ill children were dressed like princes + princesses. Liam also attended the event + the two raised over £5,000,000 thanks to ticket sales + auctions held on the night. Harry + Niall each put various items of theirs up for auction, too.
In December 2015, Louis hosted a 1D Dinner in collaboration with Believe In Magic. Louis often tweets about the condition of the sick children he keeps in touch with, wishing them well and maintains contact with their families.
Louis was also friends with a terminally ill child named Harvey, as well as his family. Harvey’s family spoke highly about what Louis had done for Harvey and the other families involved in Believe in Magic.
Harvey’s family and Louis discussed arranging a ‘winter wonderland’ to be built in the family’s back garden, however Harvey was unfortunately taken from the world before this could happen.
Comic Relief - Every year the charity holds an event called Red Nose Day to help raise money and awareness. The “One Way Or Another” mv was filmed while the lads were on tour and visiting Africa. It was filmed mostly by the lads, + gave the money raised from sales to Comic Relief
Band Aid - a charity supergroup featuring mainly British and Irish musicians and recording artists. The lads were involved in the 2014 incarnation of the charity supergroup Band Aid. The focus was to raise money to help prevent the Ebola crisis in Western Africa spreading.

HeForShe - a solidarity campaign for gender equality initiated by UN Women. Its goal is to engage men and boys as agents of change for the achievement of gender equality and women’s rights, by encouraging them to take action against inequalities faced by women and girls.
In 2014, Harry participated in a social media trend asking male celebrities to show their support for the cause by uploading a photo of them with the hashtag #HeForShe   . Harry presented Emma Watson with the British Style Award and told her he supported the HeForShe campaign.
Artists for Grenfell - Bridge Over Troubled Water is a 1970 single.
In 2017, it was recorded as a charity cover by various artists, in tribute to the 79 victims who lost their lives in the June 14 Grenfell tower fire tragedy. Louis + Liam both took part.
Trekstock - a charity that delivers support and information for young adults who have experienced cancer, empowering them to thrive through and beyond cancer. The lads began working alongside Trekstock in 2013, when Liam and Harry organized a competition for a fan to win the
chance to have dinner with them in return for a donation to the cause. The contest raised $784,984. In 2015, Liam and his then girlfriend Sophia Smith organised a Great Gatsby themed charity ball, which Louis + Niall attended. Another contest was held for fans, for the chance to
meet the lads during the On the Road Again tour if they donated to the charity.
The Alzheimer's Association- a non-profit American voluntary health organization which focuses on care, support and research for Alzheimer's disease. In 2012, the lads raised $2000 and auctioned off a signed t-shirt.
Global Poverty Project - a social activism project. The activist program encourages fans of popular artists to sign up to a website and engage with the charity events available. In turn, they earn points towards concert tickets. The lads released a statement about their
collaboration, saying "We are thrilled to be part of the Global Citizen campaign -- a brilliant way to reward fantastic volunteers fighting against global poverty. We can't wait to see some 'global citizens' at our shows!".
Greenpeace - an environmental conservation group and the world's leading independent campaigning organization. The lads associated themselves with the group in 2012 and sided with Greenpeace by signing their petition to the United Nations to make the Arctic Sea bed a sanctuary.
Irish Autism Action - a young, dynamic, innovative and passionate organisation formed in 2001, by parents for parents, which is bringing positive change into the lives of families affected by autism. In 2012, Niall organized a charity golf match and dinnner for Irish Autism
Action and Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar (TEAM). In 2014, Niall organized a charity all-star football match at Leicester City King’s Stadium. Niall was team manager and Louis, Harry and Liam were all team members. In 2016, Niall organized a charity golfing event
with golfer Justin Rose, to support the Katy and Justin Rose Foundation and the Irish Autism Action Mission Statement. He designed an exclusive shirt available for two weeks only, in order to raise money and awareness.
