Let us be 100% clear: the UCP government is leaving public schools to flounder with overcrowded classrooms during a pandemic but giving federal money to private schools who are already safe with small classes and lots of space. #ableg

Poor and middle class kids, families and communities will get sick - and potentially die - at higher rates than rich kids, families and communities.

That is some classist garbage.

All of them. Not just those lucky enough to be born rich.

I am just livid about this blatant devaluing of the lives of poor people through this garbage policy that funds schools and communities who are already safe, while skimping on resources for everyone else.

Poor kids matter and that is not controversial.

I challenge all the private schools in Alberta to advocate for public school kids so they have the resources to be safe.

It’s time the privileged started doing the work of advocacy for the world outside their doors.

Push them. Make them uncomfortable.
