Here is an idea...why doesn’t Mon County Health Department come up with a plan for bars and restaurants to safely open. Have a day or 2 day long seminar and teach us how to deal with these problems that arise with crowds. Ya wanna know why? THEY DONT KNOW EITHER.

They have zero answers except to shut people down. When asked they can’t answer. Just like the general public they want to point the finger instead of working with us. Point blank.

I had 12 total people at my bar and was told I was not enforcing social distancing. I spread them into groups forcing guests behind poles and walls to create 6 feet spaces and asked “Is this within protocol? Is there anything else I need to fix?”

ABC and the Health Department simply replied ,”You’re not in compliance.”
Me “Ok what do I need to do to get in compliance?”
No answers.

Next day a news crew shows up to do a smear campaign against us amongst other businesses. Our owner asks to be interviewed and they refuse. The Governor announced the reopening of bars on Saturday and Mon County just happened to have 2 teams of 6, 2 ABC, 2 Health dept,

2 state troopers out busting restaurants in the busiest time of the evening. It was a calculated hit. Then they open bars for the first time since students have been back 2 days later. Instead of having the police out to control High Street, we take pictures and news crews.

Try doing these jobs while also trying to enforce these protocols and being given zero help and zero answers when trying to figure out how to do it correctly. Rules constantly changing. Constantly worried about some Karen taking a picture if u take your mask down to take a drink.

God forbid. Try doing it for one 12 hour shift. AND THEN try doing it 6 days a week for 6 months. Fuck off. End thread.
