One of the greatest movies of ALL TIME is

The Godfather.

Here's 5 lessons from the epic franchise

That you can implement in your

- personal life
- business life

⤵️ Thread ⤵️
1. DON'T make promises you cant keep.

In the olden days, a promise was sacred.

It was man's bond.

"I give you my word" actually meant something.

But nowadays it hardly holds any value.

Its become the norm to lie or exaggerate

📍But that's a sure fire recipe to lose

⤵️
If you are promising something to a customer or client

You MUST deliver.

Reputation is critical to your branding and service.

Just think about when Samsung phones blew up

it was 5+ years ago.

But we all remember it like it was yesterday.

⤵️
They didnt deliver on their promise and they lost out massively.

Who benefits?

YOUR competition.

You have to make sure you always keep your promise.

Not only in business, but in life too.

📍Otherwise you need to really look at yourself & think about what you stand for

⤵️
2. FAMILY - stick by them

These are the people who rightly or wrongly so, stood by you.

Helped you become who you are today.

Rarely do parents abandon their children, if it wasn't for their sacrifices

You would not be where you are today.

You would be worse off

⤵️
Not only that, but you're wanting freedom for your family right?

For your future family.

So why not enjoy them and respect them whilst you have them?

Why not keep your promises to them whilst you can.

📍"Blood is thicker than water"

⤵️
3. DON'T get involved in other people's life

Especially if it is personal.

If they want your input, they can ask for it.

Nobody needs your criticism & voluntary slandering for any reason.

The world is run by idiots, trying to tell each other what to do

📍Mind ya business

⤵️
4. DON'T act on emotion

Emotional decisions are great for sellers

But for buyers they're often regretted.

We target emotions when we are producing but not when we are consuming.

The best and wisest decisions come from a blend of

- rationale
- emotion

⤵️
One without the other leads to a bias and usually a wrong decision.

📍So if you want to make a decision DONT rely on just emotions.

⤵️
5. FAMILY

This ties in with no.2 but it's not the same.

We are social beings

We need family.

The people who are alone - distant from their family usually end up with some form of mental health issues.

(sometimes even with family)

⤵️
but typically the inner desire is to

- find a partner
- have children
- nurture and nourish them

So it's important to recognise that family is everything

& that's why money cannot be the objective

bc you can have money

But you cannot have happiness with money alone
