1. First you must build a following
I was able to go from 0 to 300 followers in just a couple weeks
But honestly you don't even need that many followers
This is doable with 200, 100, or even just 50 followers

2. Next you must purchase a ebook/course from gumroad
I have purchased a few different products from gumroad
But I highly suggest "The Affiliate Playbook" by @HokeHustles for multiple reason I will mention later.

3. Now once you purchase a product and read through it
You can contact the creator and ask to become an affiliate.
Most creators will add you as an affiliate no problem.

4. Once you become an affiliate for the product you will get a custom link that you can promote.
Every time someone buys using your link you get a percentage of it.
Usually it's around 50%

6. Promoting below your popular tweets
If I noticed a tweet of mine was performing well (lots of engagement & impressions)
I would simply drop a tweet below it promoting my affiliate link.

7. Promoting in the DM's
This actually works really well if you do it right.
You can't just send people your affiliate link and expect them to buy.
You need to have a real conversation with people.

8. Now if your wondering who you should be DMing
You can simply DM new followers
An example for an opening message would be
"Are you looking to start making money with Twitter?"

9. And for the last way of promoting that I used
Tweet results that you got from the course and attach your affiliate link to the tweet as well.
This is a simple sales tweet
This works well because it shows people that this course really does work.
