It seems like so many of the interesting + fun pop gen conversations that happen on twitter are dominated by men. Do other people notice this too?
Like maybe women are using twitter for other purposes & aren't interested? Or they're not part of the pop gen network (or part of a different network that I'm missing)? Or they're uncomfortable participating? Or they're too busy with other stuff?
I'm not trying to criticize anyone or say we shouldn't be nerding out on twitter, but just that I hope people are paying attention to who's participating and who isn't.
Also, just want to add that a recent brief convo w/ @SilasTittes & @pastramimachine was really helpful for thinking through how I'm phrasing something in a grant, so these conversations can be really useful, especially now that we're missing out on other types of networking.
