It seems like so many of the interesting + fun pop gen conversations that happen on twitter are dominated by men. Do other people notice this too?
Like maybe women are using twitter for other purposes & aren& #39;t interested? Or they& #39;re not part of the pop gen network (or part of a different network that I& #39;m missing)? Or they& #39;re uncomfortable participating? Or they& #39;re too busy with other stuff?
I& #39;m not trying to criticize anyone or say we shouldn& #39;t be nerding out on twitter, but just that I hope people are paying attention to who& #39;s participating and who isn& #39;t.
Also, just want to add that a recent brief convo w/ @SilasTittes & @pastramimachine was really helpful for thinking through how I& #39;m phrasing something in a grant, so these conversations can be really useful, especially now that we& #39;re missing out on other types of networking.
