One may gain fascinating insight into early Aryan notions of the soul and afterlife through those of the Ancient Iranians and so in this thread we look at the milky maidens of paradise who are a composite part of the human soul in that tradition. 1/5
As well as the Fravasi, which were a kind of daemon, like Valkyries, the Iranians believed the soul had a counterpart called 𐬛𐬀𐬉𐬥𐬁 Daēnā (Vedic cognate dhénā “lactating female”) which takes the form of a woman, either beautiful or ugly. 2/5
When you die your soul goes to the Chinvat Bridge where the three gods Mithra, Sraosa and Rashnu will judge it. If it you led a good life then you pass on to be greeted by your Daēnā in the form of a a beautiful fifteen year old girl (the sexiest age according to Iranians) 3/5
She then leads you to divine light. But if you led a wicked life, then your Daēnā takes the form of a disgusting hag and she will drag you down with demons to the realm of the homosexual god Ahriman who likes to be fisted. 4/5
Persian traditions were obviously influential on early Islam and by now you have probably recognised a parallel to the Muhammaden paradise with their Houri (72 virgins). #Zoroaster #IslamicHistory #Persian
