A summer of anti-police protests netted us not one, but two candidates running as "The Law & Order Candidate" and the discourse has been successfully shifted from "abolish/defund the police" to "Vote (for the law and order candidate)".

You (literally) hate to see it.

The NBA& #39;s corporate social justice campaign won& #39;t let the players even have any message on their jerseys that isn& #39;t preapproved, and for damn sure not a message that directly addresses the police. Just anti vague, general injustice/inequality & pro vague, general voting.

They really snuffed out all the energy for real systemic change from June and by August had turned it into a vehicle for their own electoral or corporate motives. Impressive and terrible at the same time.
