BTS are not new artists nor are they “breakthrough” artists. They’ve had multiple no. 1 albums, multiple top 10/top 5 hits. Sold out stadium tours MULTIPLE times, have insane album sales, are quite literally some of the biggest artists out right now. They “broke thru” ages ago

This gives me a headache every time but I can’t stop myself from talking about it bc it’s so disrespectful to undermine the impact BTS have made over 7 years of their career just bc the western music industry decided to ignore it. BTS have been here & they’re sticking around.

And this is just talking about the stats, if we get into quality of music..... yeah let’s not even try to brush BTS aside as some new artists just getting known around here, they’ve been making quality music for years & have done so well with it too. Let’s not be dumb.

Last thoughts I’ve had on this: at the end of the day what I want most is for BTS to get what they want, which is their own performance stage at the Grammys. If they get that, I’ll be happy and I’ll celebrate for them, bc I know they’ll be so happy. So let’s hope for the best!
