I don& #39;t know who needs to hear this, long story follows:

In 2002/3 I worked hard on getting a college football job. Living in England the time difference and international dialing made this tough. I sent my resume and material to EVERY college program at every level.
Some replied (to say no thanks) & most didn& #39;t. I remember talking on the phone to one HC (who I won& #39;t name) who asked if I knew it was "American Football" and then laughed me off the phone.
In the end I accepted a volunteer position at a D1 school. I was so excited! However, right before camp the position goes away. I had already resigned from my full time job in England and was now unemployed. This was a low moment. It hurt thinking my dream eluded me.
I saw one job posting online and applied (via FAX) and interviewed the next day, got the job and moved a week later. We sold my car to pay for the flight and put as much stuff into one checked bag as I could fit. I couldn& #39;t afford a cell phone for two three years. Simple times!
My point is, if you want something badly enough and are willing to make sacrifices you can achieve the seemingly impossible! Those sacrifices, led to a masters degree, meeting and marrying my wife, buying a home and creating a life in a new country. All life changing moments.
