Because men separate sex from love far more easily and commonly than women.

Men cheat because they crave sexual novelty and lack self-restraint. Not because they don't love you.

Statistically, 80% of women in affairs love the new man, for men having affairs, it's just 20%. https://twitter.com/monikasapui2/status/1301111565400170496
This is why, and it's an unpopular thing to say - it's worse when a woman cheats than when a man does

When a man cheats, he probably still loves you, but he just wants to try out a new body

When a woman cheats she is literally saying "this other man is superior to you, be gone"
Not trying to cheapen the pain women feel when they are cheated on, because it's obviously a horrific thing to be cheated on.

This is a difficult topic to discuss. But you cannot act like they are equal and the same in their nature, because they quite simply are not.
Men catch bodies, women catch feelings.

Men want additional playmates, women want to completely eradicate him from the equation.

Cheating on someone out of lust is bad.

Cheating on someone and replacing them entirely because you've fallen in love with someone else is worse.
Men still love the women they cheat on. They betray sexual exclusivity, but not the relationship.

Women stop loving you when they cheat on you. They betray absolutely everything.

Hurts both ways. But one is worse.
Says something fucked up about men tho - they can be highly romantically invested in you, and still cheat.

Women can't & don't cheat on men they're romantically invested in. They're only able to do this when they're not in love with you anymore.

Women don't juggle like men do.
So women betray harder, but men betray easier.

That's the conclusion I'm reaching here.

Not perfect and surely more nuance to it than this, but I think you get the idea.
