I don’t really wanna say anything about FLO right now but I do want to speak my piece and make a thread regarding “fat fur” art. I don’t really like that term anymore because there are so many different art pieces that fall under that umbrella statement. In addition, the word fat
is hurtful to a lot of people and ultimately is a term I don’t really like using anymore.

Anyways I want to share some of my art and provide my takes on each piece, and where to draw lines between fetish and non fetish as well as NSFW.
Admittedly this is something that I have struggled with in the past but with time I have come to a clearer understanding of this, and I want to share that with folks.

Let’s get started!
#NSFW This piece by @/MoozleArt is clearly fetish and NSFW. There’s forcefeeding as well as my character very blatantly being jerked off. Basically it’s porn. It’s an extremely self indulgent piece that I thoroughly enjoy.
This art by @/DadTigerDad is NOT fetish, and SFW. There is no visible genitalia, no signs of any weight gain or food in sight. Simply a portrait of my character. If you think otherwise, I’m here to tell you you’re clearly wrong.

This, and the art above are my two base examples.
This is a weight gain sequence by @/curritoss. It is fetish art, there’s weight gain and feeding and the bf is probably aroused considering the blush. Is it NSFW? No. There are no genitals or outwardly sexual actions.
A niche group of furries are going to find this horny, while others simply find it cute or are apathetic. This is the same as folks getting squished by paws, or vore in the way that not everyone is going to have a sexual response to this piece.
This art by @/chubby_shark is not fetish art. Arago is just looking at his phone in bed. No food, no weight gain, just phone. Is it NSFW? If you say yes because there’s a pronounced bulge clearly outlined by the tight underwear, that’s fine.
If you say yes because the character has a large belly then YOU. ARE. WRONG.

Classifying something as NSFW due to a body type is not body positive, it’s objectifying, it’s a double standard and it makes people feel awful.
That being said, should fetish art be labeled NSFW?

If you are labeling weight gain sequences NSFW, and art of a micro licking a paw with big blushy cheeks SFW, that is the definition of a double standard and I would almost describe it as a form of kinkshaming.
You need to be aware of your own bias when viewing art, just like you need to be aware of your own bias when talking to people.

If large body types make you uncomfortable, that’s something you need to deal with and not subject people to your shitty opinions.
That being said I’d love to hear some feedback on this thread, and thank you so much if you’ve read the entire thing from start to finish.

I hope it helps a few of you out ❤️
