VCU #InfectiousDiseases expert Amy Pakyz dreamed of being published in the journal CID. She told friends she could retire happy if that happened.

She died early this year. Colleagues helped complete her revisions and resubmitted her paper ... and IT WAS JUST PUBLISHED IN CID.
More about Amy Pakyz and her legacy: “She simply wanted to be known for her work in the field of infectious diseases epidemiology, and this will indeed be her legacy.”
