I typically wouldn’t feel the need to come back and clarify because if you read my research (or know anything about my own family) you know what my issue is with this photo.

but since folks like to report me let me just pre-empt: THE ISSUE IS THE SHIRTS.

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO SAY “white lives” or “all lives” as rebuttal to Black Lives Matter is disrespectful and derailing the conversation?!

police aren’t going around disproportionately destroying interracial relationships/families with their violence.

this entire social media theater project is feeding into a narrative about interracial couples and families “solving” racism and there is AMPLE research (LITERAL DECADES WORTH) showing how that is conclusively *NOT* true.

I have lived this AND researched this.

this is not a topic I can be challenged on by people who think a post-racial society where love conquers all is the way to end racism. y’all can keep it.

at no point did I attack this family, call them names, say they shouldn’t exist, so stop putting words in my mouth.
