The tweets about someone having a bad experience getting gender affirmation surgery is reminding me of my roommate for the first couple days who was angrily (and racistly) vocal for two nights straight about the nurses' treatment of her until she got a white one to complain to.
She had been under full general anesthetic and was loopy and paranoid. I basically didn't get any sleep until I was in the recovery house, at which point it was much better(and I didn't have to listen to her).

Not saying it's similar to the other case, but it rhymes enough.
The nurses were paying more attention to her than to me. They were not withholding meds or trying to hurt her or doing any of the plotting she insisted they were doing.

Anesthesia can massively distort your perception of reality even if you're not sensitive to it.
I also know of someone who wanted to refuse doing their aftercare regimen because they thought the nurses were out to get them, but it was because they were still out of it and paranoid from pain management. Lack of HRT for a few weeks leading up doesn't help this.

I'll also add that being under general anesthesia won't make you spout racism, just to be clear.
