Jesus began His ministry during the Year of Jubilee.

Jubilee was significant in the Jewish culture, because if you had to sell your property because of debt, you would regain it in the Year of Jubilee.

You would be released from debt, and restored all in..

One transaction.

Kinda like the Cross.

Also learned that a better interpretation for the word “forgiveness” is “release”.

So if I’ve been released, I don’t need to continue to ask for my freedom. It’s been secured in One transaction.

Jesus secured our release, restored humanity by reconciling everyone, ending the hostility between us and the Father, seats us in heavenly places, calls us sons and daughters, co-heirs, friends, inheritance, etc.

God wasn’t playing when He said He loves us. Jesus is the love of God revealed.

But wow is it cool to see God through scripture put a neat bow on top of this gift of righteousness by faith through Christ Jesus!
