Last month, I talked about the importance of reviews, even bad ones. This month, I& #39;ll follow up by occasionally featuring one of my own 1-star reviews. I have plenty to choose from ;) All identifying info removed, typos corrected.
Posting some of my one-stars isn& #39;t intended as a complaint (I& #39;m fully pro-review.) It& #39;s a reminder for writers that as frustrating as these may be at first, with distance we can get a chuckle out of them (or at least an eye roll.)
Any authors wanting to join in? #MyOneStar
First up, Omens. "Dear reader, always check the title before purchasing." Also, this perfectly encapsulates the entire Cainsville series & I want it as a tagline. #MyOneStar
Next in #MyOneStar series, The Summoning. "Dear reader, the Surgeon General has determined that reading references to menstruation will not cause the loss of any male body parts."
The next #MyOneStar is for City of the Lost. "Dear reader, the women of Rockton take this as a compliment."
Let& #39;s do another #MyOneStar. "Dear reader, zzz."
Honestly, the biggest surprise for this one was the book it& #39;s for. Of all my books to prompt this response...The Gathering? Really?
Time for a Bitten #MyOneStar "Dear reader, thank you for the . . . wait, that& #39;s *not* a recommendation?"
