./ I was on the radio this morning debating whether civil servants should be forced to use people's preferred pronouns. My take is almost everyone already does respect transsexuals' pronouns -out of politeness- but it will backfire badly if staff feel bullied into using them.👇 https://twitter.com/StephenNolan/status/1301125436047527942
./ It'll backfire first for transsexuals with a GR Certificate whom employers are obligated to treat as the sex they identify with. Employers have no legal obligation to take seriously newly coined identities now sheltering under the 'trans' umbrella, such as non-binary.
./ Now, transsexuals who may have spent a lifetime trying hard to become the 'sex' they identify with are going to be lumped in with the genderqueer, neutrois, demiqueer, gender fluid, agender and god knows what other newly invented identities are coming down the pipeline.
./ Some of those 'gender identities' change their pronouns from day to day, depending on how they feel, and use newly minted words that no sensible person should be forced to use, like zie/zir. Others are 'female' only half the week, like Pips Bunce👇 https://www.lgbtgreat.com/pips-bunce
./ Are civil servants to be accused of harassment if they call Philip 'she' on a day when he is identifying as male? I suppose we've to guess Pips is female because she'll have on pearls, skirt and her blonde wig (not that gender identity advocates love stereotypes or anything).
./ All this will backfire on gay people too whose movement has been turned into a zombie version of itself, obsessed with one thing: telling the rest of the world to believe the unbelievable. So there's now a man with a vagina competing in Mr Gay UK👇 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-53936529
./ In 2018 a transman WON Mr Gay Denmark. She, sorry he, looks adorable and I'd love to chat with him about Scandi noir but at the risk of sounding a terrible boor wasn't the whole point of superficial beauty contests that they judged er...beauty? https://www.gaystarnews.com/article/danish-trans-man-win-mr-gay-denmark/
./ And don't get me wrong I've absolutely nothing against the vagina. It's a miracle of nature. But so is the cheetah, Mt Vesuvius and the eye of the peregrine falcon and I don't expect to encounter them when having sex. Apologies to those who identify as cheetahs.
./ The new civil servant rules in N Ireland and the beauty contest nonsense are very different examples of an assault on commonsense underway on many fronts. Even more serious stuff is on the way. In Denmark (again) new proposals are out for consultation that chill the blood.
./ If like me you think some parents of kids who claim their kids are trans at age 3 or 6 are, in truth, attention-seeking and exploitative or may just be less than the full shilling, then this is deeply worrying. If you've been watching Netflix you'll know what I mean.👇
./ The mother of this nine-year old child and now lucrative Netflix star saw the light after regularly beating her son to try to 'remove the gay' (in her words). Maybe Jesus asked the mother if she'd heard of merchandising rights?
./ All we sensible, mainstream people of goodwill can do is keep arguing the case for commonsense. If you're wondering yourself whether to speak out, I'd only say...if not now, when? It's tempting to think it will all blow over. It won't and much worse is coming our way.
