I read the @TGC article that got everyone in a tizzy.

1. The men whom Rittenhouse shot were trying to murder him.

2. The author believed he should have been executed in the street

"He will be tried and charged in court, not on the streets, as it should be in a just society."
Copeland believed that Rittenhouse who did not resist arrest should have been killed as his judgment in the street w/o a hearing.

3. He compared Rittenhouse to the murderous white supremacist Dylan Roof.

The implication of this statement is that Copeland supports these riots.
Rittenhouse shot white people who were rioting and luting and were trying to kill him. By Copeland comparing him to Roof he is in fact giving credence to the evil these men were doing because he thinks this violence is justified to fight supposed systemic racism.
4. He never condemned the evil acts that the rioters were doing.

If you believed that what these rioters were doing was good, would it not make you angry if someone shot these agents of righteousness?

It was a merciless piece which he will not be able to defend before God.
