This week’s guest on the Media Tribe podcast is the extraordinary Syrian filmmaker @waadalkateab. Waad became a citizen journalist in 2011, after protests broke out across #Syria against the Assad regime, and in January 2016 she began documenting https://www.thismediatribe.com/waad-al-kateab/
war crimes taking place in Aleppo. Waad’s first feature documentary, #ForSama, documented her life over the course of five years in Aleppo. Her film, directed with @watts_edward has won a ton of awards, including a BAFTA and was up for Oscar nomination!
