1. I never thought I would hear a Jewish intellectual say, “Vote for the czar!”
2. This isn’t a choice between the czar and the Bolsheviks. Biden isn’t Lenin, in case anyone hasn’t noticed. And voting for him does not mean you are choosing the far left. https://www.wsj.com/articles/vote-for-the-czar-its-important-11598895028
A few more thoughts (1/4):
Okay, she never comes right out and says that Trump is just like the czar. She is using "vote for the czar" as a metaphor. But I still think it's a very strange phrase for a Jewish intellectual to employ.
(2/4) Her slippery slope argument is absurd. Biden is not going to turn the US into a socialist state. Even if Bernie Sanders became president, the US wouldn't turn into Stalin's Soviet Union, or even into the Polish People's Republic, which is her example.
(3/4) Thinking historically, in 1936, would you tell French Jews, "Don't vote for the centrist Daladier because he's allied for this election with Thorez. If the Popular Front wins, France will go Communist. So vote for the illiberal and even clericalist or antisemitic right."?
(4/4) Or in 1925, "Vote for Hindenburg because the centrist Wilhelm Marx has a loose alliance with the Social Democrats"?

She's saying to vote for someone bad because the other, reasonable option might eventually, possibly, under specific circumstances, lead to something awful.
