In 2015/2016 during my NYSC, I used to build IG followers for people. I would charge N1 per follower. That means N5,000 for 5k followers. It would take over a week to get that 5k followers & over 54 hours. I saved over 200k from doing that work.

No money is small especially if the alternative means doing nothing with your time. I used that 200k to buy a laptop after NYSC, use that laptop to learn copyrighting/Art direction, used it on my first job as a copyrighter cos no official laptop.

I am where I am today largely because of 1 naira jobs. My clients then loved me to pieces because I was damn reliable and would skip meals just to meet targets.

See money is hard to make.

If you’re not willing to work hard for small change now, you still won’t put in effort when the big opportunities come.

Hard work, consistency, working under pressure, meeting targets and being reliable are my greatest assets. That is why I NEVER lose a client. Ever.

I have a couple of people asking how I built those followers back then. It doesn’t matter anymore, those leaks have been plugged by IG. If you try it now, you’d sleep and wake up to realize your page has been deleted by Mark Zuckerberg.
