The French always seem to consistently come out as the most anti-Vaxx people in the world, even pre-Covid (its not a new thing,) whats all that about? https://twitter.com/marceldirsus/status/1301087675395567621
â

people think vaccines are unsafe â the highest rate in the world - and almost 20% believe they are not effective.â

The French mistrust science it says. Ok, but that just begs a further question: why do they mistrust science? This is the country of Louis Pasteur and Blaise Pascal.
Ironic that the most secular country in the world & the country, more than any other, convulsed with ideas drawn from the Enlightenment is also now the most distrustful of science. How do the humanists & Pinkerian optimists explain that one? I would love to know.
The same country that instituted the worldâs first state-sponsored atheistic religion - i.e the Cult of Reason - is now the developed country most distrustful of science. Pretty ironic. That should give galaxy-brained humanists & Pinker-esque super-optimists food for thought.
