ok I've read this and done my research, here's my take on this.

now let's tackle the points of this thread and lets SCRUTINIZE https://twitter.com/rmflrt/status/1300999941318471682
i would not contest the previous posts but let's start with THIS. everything from this point are just plain assumptions or are not facts.
allow me to quote

"A dream catcher is supposed to serve a purpose as far as dreams are concerned, as far as children are concerned, and that's not something that's meant to be sacred," Red Eagle said, 79.
Dark Feather Red Eagle, a storyteller and self-described Oglala Sioux, learned how to make dream catchers from a Cree woman 30 years ago. In six years, he's sold more than 1,000 made by his family in Crowley, Texas.
again the "imitating their culture" argument is NOT A FACT
2.

"Swing around dreamcatchers" when did TXT do this? all they did was just hang it there like a decorative. correct me if I'm wrong but i have never seen TXT did this in any way like its a toy or something.

NOT A FACT as of the moment.
3.

"This is extremely harmful as i believe this wasnt even bought from a native"

Another pure assumption. There is no way you nor I can prove if this is true or not.
Mind you TXT have been to USA, and even BTS made countless concerts there, it is possible that their staff got ahold of a legit one.

JUST AN ASSUMPTION. CAN NEITHER PROVE NOR DENY.
"Our culture is being stolen violently and taken away"

ok, just WHEN did BigHit ever claim that the concept of "dreamcatcher" is theirs? Any proof?
there is a difference between outright stealing and plain reference. because last time I remember the author of Harry Potter didn't sue BigHit for "Run Away" for their reference.

again, NOT A FACT
5.

"Something a company makes and profits off us when like i said many are living in severe property"

Now, can anyone tell me did BigHit ever sell any dreamcatcher merchandise?? and even more so COMPETING with the natives' industry???

NOT A FACT at the moment
Now here are some articles for you to read.

EDUCATE YOURSELVES then evaluate properly PLEASE before jumping into conclusions.
let me quote this post as well https://twitter.com/Bulletp20985712/status/1301048880423792640
NOW if you still arent convinced i've got some questions for you:

Q1 - Did BigHit ever steal/claim their culture, saying that dreamcatchers are their creation?
Q2 - Did BigHit ever disrespect the natives by creating knock-off or spoof versions of dreamcatchers, claiming it as theirs, and sold them for profit?
Q3 - Did BigHit ever insult the dreamcatcher by using it for another purpose, such as:

*attaching something else on it
*hanging something on it
*cover it with stickers

or any other disrespectful behavior or something?
Q4 - Are Dreamcatchers "sacred"? Are they of utter importance to the very essence of the tribe? Are they posessions of the tribe's gods/deities? or important relics/regalias from the tribe's royal family?
Q5 - Are they of extreme importance that they are of exclusive use ONLY by the tribe, and do they view the usage of the item by other people as an INSULT or DISGRACE?
As far as I'm concerned, the answers to these questions are STRAIGHT NO
again let me say this

#1 - Dreamcatchers are items the natives themselves acknowledge as merchandises. Meaning it is meant to be distributed to other people not for just themselves.
#2 - Because they are merchandises, they are not items that should be exclusive only for the tribe. Others can use it too, for as long as it is given due respect.
MAIN QUESTION:

#3 - is there any CA occuring? then allow me to quote:

taken from: https://dreamcatcherinsomnias.com/regarding-the-claims-of-racism-and-culture-appropriation-towards-dreamcatcher/
after reading this, again let me ask, are they still committing Cultural Appropriation?

Personally? I dont think so

-END OF ARGUMENT-
allow me to emphasize just THIS. a very valid point IMO.
